Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is sewed-up to conduct National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2017 for the aspiring students of the state. The exam will be held in diverse exam centers across the country for which contenders will appear in huge numbers. Compared to previous year, this year the applications have flowed in great numbers. Many aspirants are seeking admissions into medical colleges to do under graduation in various programs. CBSE is the one that governs and conducts NEET exam every year. This year too, it has made all the preparations to conduct the exam.
Shortlisted students of NEET 2017 will be provided with admissions into undergraduate medical colleges across the country. The admissions will be provided based on the performance of the students in the NEET exam 2017. CBSE will declare the results along with the All India Rank for the students according to which the admissions will take place. The cutoff marks will be used by CBSE to shortlist the candidates for admissions. The result will be available not only in the official website of the board, but also in other private websites. As the exam takers will be in huge numbers, CBSE will be conducting NEET exam in two phases namely Phase 1 and Phase 2. As it is a national level exam, the results will be available roll number wise, branch wise, region wise and zone wise. Students who satisfy the cutoff marks will only be eligible to the admissions. Using the cutoff marks, the board will prepare a merit list of the students who made it in the exam. The merit list will be made available for download in the official web portal of CBSE for download. Later, CBSE will disclose All India Ranks of the students of NEET. Students will be called based on the all India rank to the counseling and will be allotted with seats into various medical colleges across the country. The merit list plays a key role in providing admissions.
